Through the Finnish company HMD, the Nokia brand is trying to get back on its feet with modern smartphones. I worked at Nokia for 12 years and experienced its rise and fall. Although it was a pioneer in photo messaging, video calls and the touch screen of its smartphones, these advances were never considered a business driver to be developed.
Looking back on this story so many years later, my particular analysis is that Nokia was more of a design company than a technological one. It was the shapes, colors, styles, designs and bold curves of its cell phones that took it to the top of the world market.
Definitely HMD & Nokia are coming back!
I really hope HMD can not only bring Nokia back but also make it great again.
